President Joe Biden for signing the Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act of
2022 and called it a historic step.
According to Ukrinform, Zelensky wrote this on Twitter.
"Grateful to U.S. President Joe Biden and U.S. people
for supporting Ukraine in the fight for our freedom and future. Today's signing
of the law on Lend-Lease is a historic step. I am convinced that we will win
together again. And we will defend democracy in Ukraine. And in Europe. Like 77

Biden signed the Ukraine lend-lease act into law at the
White House on Monday, May 9.
The Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act was passed last
month by both chambers of the U.S. Congress. The Senate unanimously supported
the document on April 6, and the House of Representatives voted for the measure
on April 28.
The document allows the U.S. president to use the military
lend-lease program to speed up the transfer of weapons, military equipment,
medicines, food, etc. to Ukraine. It is expected that the recipient country
will pay their cost later.
The military lend-lease program was used during World War
II. It allowed the United States to quickly provide weapons to its allies.
